The Artist

mike dogMike Carabetta has been painting since he was ten years-old. He won his first art contest at the age of twelve and has been hooked ever since. Although he has had no formal art training, he has studied many books on techniques, artists’ publications and other artists quite extensively. This has enabled him to develop his own unique style in approaching his subjects.

"I paint and draw scenes from mundane everyday life situations to the dramatic...'Portraits Of Life'." Although Mike strives for a life-like depiction in all his art, he describes his art as containing just a hint of impressionism as well. His favorite subjects include people, animals and nature in general.

Some of his favorite artists include but are not limited to Michelangelo, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Norman Rockwell, Dav3 Kurz, Lesley Harrison, Al Agnew, and John Banovich.
